Prague Castle (Pražský hrad)
Praha (Prague)
A thousand year symbol of the Czech statehood, this is a first-class cultural
monument of European importance. The whole area (45 hectars) consists of many
buildings, several courtyards and is surrounded by castle gardens. Bearing in
mind the special role of Prague Castle (the national cultural monument and also
the residence of the head of the state), it represents a top venue for various
social events such as banquets, gala dinners, receptions, conferences and
symposia as well as exhibitions and concerts.
Spanish Hall of Prague Castle was built during the reign of the
Emperor Rudolf II (1602-1606). Its interior was opulently adapted for festive balls
and other representative events of the Emperor's court. The present Neo-classicist
appearance of the interior is characterized by a striking harmony of white and gold
colours. The hall can be festively illuminated by the original chandeliers with
more than two thousand bulbs.
Rudolf's Gallery is situated in close proximity of the Spanish
Hall. This hall was also built by Rudolf II between 1597-1598 and originally housed
the imperial art collections. In connection with the coronation of Franz Josef I
as the Czech King the Gallery was adapted by Viennese architects to its present-day
appearance. Nowadays it is also used for the ceremonial welcome of the official
guests of the President of the Czech Republic.
Ball-game Hall, one of the gems of the Renaissance architecture,
is situated on the southern side of the Royal Gardens. The Ball-game Hall was built
in the second half of the 16th century. It is a popular venue for social events,
exhibitions as well as concerts. The exhibition area is located on the ground floor
while the toilets and cloakroom are situated on the lower ground floor.

Troja Castle (Trojský zámek)
Praha (Prague)
Originally a place for pleasure and rest of the Sternberg family according to the
project of the French architect J. B. Mathey who situated it masterly in the midst
of the garden and the free landscape in the surroundings. It is a building consisting
of three wings in the classicizing Baroque style, its external two flights staircase
decorated with a number of sculptures connects the building with the garden. Fountains
and rockeries with springing water shape up the parterre and the terraces with a
great sense of proportion.
The cocktails plus animation are served in the Main Chamber -
richly decorated with paintings. It is possible to propose to the guests to
descend after the cocktails on the Baroque staircase into the garden for an intimate
display of fireworks (7 minutes). The fireworks in the accompaniment of the music
by Mozart create an enchanting artistic experience.
The gala dinner itself takes place in the spaces of the former stable decorated
with paintings to which the guests are accompanied from the terrace after the fireworks
have ended by a group of lackeys in uniforms.

Archiepiscopal Palace (Arcibiskupský Palác)
Praha (Prague)
Located in Hradčanské náměstí, the imposing Archiepiscopal's Palace
dates back to the mid-15th century, although Bonific Wohlmut's original Renaissance
design was later remodelled at the behest of Antonín Bruse of Mohelnice in 1763.
Boasting a splendid rococo façade, the palace's interior is equally impresive -
a fine set of sumptuous Gobelin tapestries adorn several rooms, with decorative
18th-century furnishings set amidst a large collection of ecclesiastical portraits.
Elsewhere, a small chapel (open to the public on the day before Good Friday) features
lovely 17th-cenuty frescoes by Daniel Alexius.
